Alberto A. Ebanks began his legal career in 1994 as an associate at a Long Island law firm responsible for hundreds of Real Estate closings annually on behalf of large institutional clients. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Ebanks was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, where he successfully prosecuted numerous criminal defendants in Bronx Criminal Court.
Mr. Ebanks' criminal practice is expansive and covers both State and Federal courts, with cases in over eleven counties and districts. He has represented hundreds of union members and private clients and has mastered cases from “mischief to murder”. Mr. Ebanks is also responsible for setting precedent at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings and Civil Service Commission in the area of Dole, or drug-testing cases. He is admitted to the Bar of New York State, the United States Supreme Court, the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York.
With over 50 trials under his belt, Mr. Ebanks has developed a reputation for his incisive surgical approach to trial work. He has been a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers’ Association, New York State Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association and the New York County Lawyers’ Association. Mr. Ebanks has also appeared several times as a guest commentator on Court TV.
